“Mirror” – an original song about beauty being stereotyped by the society and people’s obsessions with perceived good looks… It questions why the world is ruled by external beauty, something of skin deep.

MIRROR – LYRICS
VERSE 1
Porcelain skin with angel kissed cheeks
her hair sparkled flashes of gold
she held the world in the palm of her hand
yet her eyes were deceiving and cold
Fake were her words her breath not so sweet
a sirens song to all her fools
no one could be as stunning as she
her envy was poison and cruel
CHORUS
mirror mirror on the wall
why must beauty rule them all
why can’t they see, it don’t matter skin deep
mirror mirror tell me
VERSE 2
its not her fault that she thinks this way
she’s lived in a world that was fake
try and she might, she wasn’t able to fight
the standards and the constant hate
broken and scarred, nothing left to break
she’s left with a singular path
cast out the pain but no love will remain
no remnants of what she once was
CHORUS
mirror mirror on the wall
why must beauty rule them all
why can’t they see, it don’t matter skin deep
mirror mirror tell me
BRIDGE
once lived a girl who cared not of looks
but only the things that she loved
time healed no wounds, she was battered and bruised
who can blame her for having enough
CODA

why must beauty rule them all
why can’t they see, it don’t matter skin deep
